At Smallberry Green we teach phonics daily using the Sounds Write programme throughout Early Years and Key Stage 1. We also incorporate the phonics that the children have learned into all other subjects so that they are able to practice using those phonics in context.

The children bring home reading books which help them practice the phonics they are learning as well other phonics work.
